A second generation, mid-western family business, Mau Marine is owned and operated by two sisters, Julie Andres and Susan Mau. The company was founded and remains dedicated to customer service, integrity, and the pursuit of happiness in boating. Mau Marine is a one-stop marine facility and service center specializing in:

• Sales of new and used boats, toys and supplies, fuel and snacks.
• Repair and Maintenance of all makes and models of boats.
• Boat slips and storage situated where East Lake meets West Lake Okoboji. Mau Marine is easily accessed by both land and water. The historic Hwy 71 location has housed a marina facility for over a century.

From a warm and inviting showroom to a vast selection of new and used boats, Mau Marine is a boat shopper's delight. Our salespeople are boaters themselves, so they are adept at navigating and guiding you through the selection process. It is a low-pressure atmosphere where lifetime friendships are formed.

  Mau Marine's role in our customers' experience does not end at the point of purchase. Boating events and VIP access are all part of the owner's experience. In addition, events are scheduled every year to give customers and boating enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the boating lifestyle and meet and socialize with each other. These events are eagerly anticipated by both customers and staff and are truly where memories are made.

  Customers of Mau Marine receive peace of mind that when the unexpected happens, we are there to minimize the impact. We know that summer boating days in Iowa are limited and we seek to maximize our customers' days on the water. We'll perform repairs during the week if customers are weekend boaters. We'll pick up and deliver. At the end of the season, throw us the keys, and we'll take care of your boat until you return. While requiring repairs may not necessarily be enjoyable, Mau Marine excels in making the experience easy and convenient for our customers.

  Mau Marine's high level of customer service is achieved and maintained through a loyal and seasoned staff. Many of our employees have been with us for 10 years or more. Low levels of turnover mean customers are greeted with a familiar and friendly face when they visit each of our departments. Our philosophy is that you can tell how you will be treated as a customer of a business by looking to see how its employees are treated. A form of the golden rule, you might say.

  At Mau Marine, customer needs for service are met by specialists. This makes for quicker diagnosis and speedy repair times, designed to maximize our customers' time on the water and totally minimize downtime. We fix it right the first time. Technical specialities include: new boat preparation, used boat preparation, detailing, jet propulsion, engine mechanics, drive and propulsion, electrical, plumbing, structural, painting, fiberglass, and cleaning. Our mechanical team is made up of a combination of veterans as well as recent marine service school graduates, providing a full spectrum of expertise. We can fix any brand and vintage.

  Experts make up the entire staff at Mau Marine, which allows us a consistency of service that is unmatched by our competition. From accounting staff to convenience store management, to showroom staff and salespeople, each member of our team plays their position to deliver excellence.
